There are several vendors here sporting a variety of weapons. A human selling simple, but well-made, arms. A Dwarf boasting loudly about his fine dwarven forged weapons. And another centaur, who's good appear to be more on the exotic side.

Layella pauses at the centaur, briefly perusing the goods she can see and noting their atypical make. Flashes of past battles and encounters flash through her mind triggered by the look and touch of these weapons and wares, some memories she can easily place and others seeming so strange and foreign... She tries to ignore them and looks up to the centaur merchant. "Have you anything closer to an Elven-make? A shorter blade, wide but light?"

THis centaur is much, much larger than the rest, and while he does not have the largest cart, he does have quite a large amount of weapons. "Yes, many elf weapon" He begins pulling out a plethora of extremely ornate weapons, all of elven make. "Coin or trade?"

Layella's eyes lit up as she looked over the stock of ornate weaponry. In recent memory, she had seen nothing like them; the weapons she had known to be of her people were of a poorer quality; almost like an imitation made in the hopeful remembrance of a style so magnificent as these. However... as she traced her fingers across their shimmering patterns and elegant curvature, she knew them to be familiar. It was as if she'd seen them in a dream, one she had forgotten but now seemed to be returning to her vividly. Her hand paused over one -a simple curved blade- as if drawn to it. Though apparently battle-worn and aged, it still retained an the slightest unnatural glow and sharpness, and something about it just seemed to resonate. Before she realized, it was gripped tightly in her hand, and she felt more grounded and calm in this instant than she she had in as long as she could remember... she had held these blades before. "Could you..." she spoke to the centaur, eyes still on the blade, "tell me where you came upon this?"

"Nearby, Southwest, in Vault" he painfully manages to get the words out. "Coin or trade?"

"Southwest..." she muses to herself. She finally pulls free from the spell the sword cast upon her, placing it back down and looking to the centaur, registering his question. "Oh, I... I haven't anything but a bit of gold..." As she realized her predicament, she seemed to be pondering hard for a solution. "Well, perhaps I could, erm..." as her hands fall to her sides in contemplation, she feels something a pocket that widens her eyes. "Actually... I do still have something I could trade.." She reached her delicate hand into a hidden pocket on her top, stitched in with the pattern. As her fingers wrapped around the cord it felt for a moment as if it were too heavy to lift. Part of her wanted to turn around and walk away, but she fought the urge. Out with her hand slid a large pendant, so purely white that it had a slight glow to it, seeming to be made from some soft moonlight. There were intricate carvings all across its surface, and it almost twinkled with some kind of radiant energy. Layella looked at it hard for a moment, turning it over in her hands. "It's carved from dragon bone, " she said half to the merchant, half to herself. "We slew it ourselves..." She chuckled at this, how powerful and invincible she once felt seeming like nothing more than a daydream. She looked back to the centaur, halting the dreaded sentimentality in its tracks. "I can make no promises about the strength of magic that resonates within it, now. It was potent. For protection... I don't need it any longer." As if her own words are meant to convince herself, she handed it off swiftly before she can change her mind.

"Dragon bone?" He takes the necklace and inspects if xarefully, then looks back up to you clearly senseing that something is wrong. However he lacks the deeper meaning of it and the comprehension of the language to properly respond. "Good necklace. Good trade. Have good day."

She gives a small bow, eyeing the pendant one final time before accepting she's lost it for good. "Gratitude," she says before turning and heading back, sheathed blade in hand.
